TEMPLE TERRACE, FL. – (11/26/12) – The holidays may bring a winter chill, but in Temple Terrace the forecast always calls for fun. Temple Terrace will celebrate the holiday season with three special events, all tied together for an exciting evening of family entertainment. Winter Wonderland, Community Caroling in the Park and the Lighted Golf Cart Parade will take place Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Woodmont Park, 407 Woodmont Ave. and along the first fairway of the Temple Terrace Golf Course. The free event will feature games, arts & crafts, music, hayrides and more. The Temple Terrace Gymnastics Booster Club will be on hand, selling hot chocolate, coffee, sweet treats and other concessions. Bring your mittens, because there will be snow! Yes, it will snow in Temple Terrace, thanks to Shaughnessy Lawn Care and TECO. And, you’ll keep warm next to several fire pits, courtesy of Ace Hardware of Temple Terrace. The annual “Community Caroling in the Park” will begin at 6:30 p.m. with all your favorite holiday tunes. Come out and lend your voice to the sounds of the season. The “Lighted Golf Cart Parade” will begin at 7:30 p.m., featuring colorful, brightly lit holiday golf carts. Santa Claus will arrive on the last cart with a bagful of candy canes! He’ll meet with children at the park’s gazebo. If you’d like to enter your golf cart in the parade, call (813) 506-6600. There is no fee to participate.
